L'anse aux Meadows

Eirik Raude's son Leif Eriksson made it to Newfoundland! At Meadows, Ingstad's discovered their probable settlement.

Very impressive. We felt history breathing with us - cold (nor)arctic air. :-)

L'anse aux Meadows was definitely one of the most profound experiences we have ever had.

Never before have we felt better being Nordic! :-)

What an accomplishment to cross the Labrador Sea! Full of Ice. Not knowing where the winds took them!

Now - we are doing the same - only we have a GPS.... :-)
